It can be hard to emphasize the importance of removing things out of the car. Your kids might be just like mine; they just don’t get it. I can stress the importance of it over and over, and they never listen. Another problem is food. We tend to eat on the go sometimes. This means pulling through a fast food restaurant and eating in the car. Food always gets left in the car and drinks always get spilled. A car just needs a good cleaning every once in a while.
I tend to clean my car out really well twice a year. Once is right now and I just completed that duty this past weekend. The first step I do is to bring out several disposable grocery sacks. I fill one with clothes. These clothes then go straight to my laundry room. Another bag is for garbage and one is for items that belong to my kids.
After gathering all of these items, I always drive to the local car wash to vacuum it out. Before I do this though, I like to clean the inside windows and dash. After vacuuming, I run it through the car wash. If I would do this four or five times a year, I think that it would take less time, and it would be more beneficial.
