One of the fondest memories I have from my childhood is the smell of lilacs. My grandma lived next door to me and she had a lilac tree. When it began to bloom, she would give us the approval to go pick flowers.
I would pick lilacs for her, for my mom and for me. My sister and I shared a room and we would place a bouquet of lilacs in it each day while the tree was in bloom. When I would walk into my room, I would smell these flowers. To this day I still correlate the smell of lilacs to this memory. I now have a lilac tree in my yard and I just picked my first bouquet yesterday.
As I was picking these lovely flowers I began to smell them. This smell brought back so many fond memories of my childhood. I placed the bouquet I had picked in a vase and set them in my kitchen. For some reason the smell isn’t quite as strong as I remember it to be, but the flowers still smell great.
Throughout the spring and summer you can freshen the smell in your home with fresh flowers. There is nothing like the smell of fresh flowers. You can pick any type of flowers and place them in a vase. Not only will they smell great, but they also look great. You can place a bouquet in your kitchen, living room, bathroom or any room you choose. Fresh flowers add a great look, smell and feel to any room.
