A while back I decided to buy myself a dish scrubber. It seemed like the perfect idea, I would have a little scrubber with dish soap already inside waiting for any dish. No longer would I have to wait for dishes to pile up and wash dishes the old standard way, I would be able to immediately wash whatever I used and sit it to the side to dry. Seems perfect right? I have been hearing and seeing a lot of things about the H2O mop and I am considering getting one. This mop is a 5 in 1 mop system that is able to clean anything. I have hard wood floors in my home, along with ceramic tile and carpeting and I am just wondering if it is good as it says it is.
Like most people, I hate cleaning, but I love the end result. Nothing stresses me out faster than coming home to a dirty house, or coming in from my office to see dishes piled up and dirt on the floor. Between raising the kids, working from home and running a small farm, however, my husband and I don’t often have the time to get the house clean, and I can’t remember the last time anything was deep cleaned.
Last week, we had the misfortune of getting a combination of rain and melting snow, which caused a really unpleasant flood situation in our house. Fortunately, it only reached the outer rooms, which are unfinished concrete and do not have any special furnishings. Still, cleaning up an inch of water from two rooms is no fun chore.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed when you look inside your cleaning supply closet or cabinet? I know I do. I have bottles of cleaners designed for every single type of cleaning activity you could ever think of. The problem is – I use maybe two or three of these cleaners on a regular basis.

If you have pets, you know how frustrating this time of year can be. I have a Rottweiler mix, and I can’t believe how much hair she packs on when it looks so short, but in the spring, little tufts of hair play peekaboo beneath my feet and walk themselves around the house all day. It makes a person crazy! I have even seriously considered one of those automatic vacuum thingies, but that borders on the epitome of lazy to me, so I have refrained. I can’t say it isn’t tempting, though.
If you have smooth floors, such as laminate, vinyl or hardwood, you may have noticed the dust bunny phenomenon, where dirt, hair and other undesirables gravitate toward the edge of the room, at least until you’re walking by, and then they jump out to collect on your socks. It seems as though, unless you provide all your dirt with some structure, it will wander aimlessly around the house, looking for the best way to maximize annoyance.
I have a lot of hard surface floors in my home and I am one of those on my knees type moppers. I like to get down on the ground and scrub my floors because it has always seemed like the only way to truly get them clean. This is not fun to do, however. My knees get sore, my back can ache and my hands are left dry and cracked from the hot water and pine sol. There has to be a better way.
I have had more than my share of problems when it comes to mops. Sponge mops have had to be rebought countless times, clothe mops cover my floors with excess water and spray mops have little holes bitten into them from my cats. My mop war is finally over with the new Rubbermaid Spray Mop.
