Let me just start out by saying that I love bath and beauty products. What I don't love is the long list of chemicals that are often listed in the ingredients, nor do I love the cost of buying all natural bath and body products. To remedy this, I decided a few years back to just make my own, but then how do you do that?

I searched all over the web and found a lot of completely useless sites. Fortunately, I came across one site that has bath and body recipe after recipe. As Time went by, I took some of the recipes that I found and changed them slightly to have the exact products that I want.
One product that I make and use is a coffee scrub. Now if you have used coffee scrubs then you know how expensive they can be. I have received strange looks from friends when I've mentioned making a coffee scrub before so if you haven't heard of or used a coffee scrub then you should try out the coffee scrub recipe that I make at least once. Coffee scrubs have anti-aging benefits and let's be honest, we all want anything that's anti-aging.
Coffee Scrub Recipe
2 C ground coffee
1/2 C sugar
2 T olive oil (more as needed)
1/2 T cocoa powder (optional)
2 drops Raspberry oil (optional)
Mix all ingredients together and use on face and body. If you're only using the coffee scrub on your face then you can store the extra in the refrigerator.
Scents are optional and you can play with this until you have a fragrance that you want.
Coffee grounds can be used so if your looking for a great way to recycle your used coffee grounds, you just found it.
If you know of any great bath and body recipes be sure to comment. Also check back for future recipes that I'll be adding from time to time.
