The 5 Minute Bathroom
How does cleaning your bathroom in 5 minutes sound? I know it sounds too good to be true and were my same thoughts when trained to do so. However, this process has saved me so much time and back ache I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. In the past I have been put to battle with some of the worst bathrooms your imagination could even come up with. Through trial and error, I have gotten the 5 minute bathroom cleaning technique down and want to share the wealth with all of you out there.
Begin with a quick evaluation of how bad off your bathroom really is. If you don't normally clean your bathroom, the first time will not be a 5 minute clean up. This works for bathrooms that get a cleaning at least once a week. When you have all that extra build up, you are going to have absolutely no choice but to do some thorough deep cleaning to get all the grime that has begun a new life of its own in your tub and toilet. But for those of you that have kept up for the most part, take a look and make note of what is going to be the toughest to tackle. In most homes the bathtub takes the prize.
Prespray everything with your Scrubbing Bubbles starting with the bathtub. Next spray down all surfaces of your toilet including the base/foundation and the floor surrounding your toilet. This is so the floor back there will come clean with out having to fight the mop back in those tight corners and behind the toilet. Last, prespray your counter top and sink. This entire process should take you less than a minute. You don't want to take long prespraying because Scrubbing Bubbles contain bleach. If you do not have a white bathtub or have a fiberglass bathtub, you'll have bleach streaks when the Scrubbing Bubbles begin to dissolve. Those lucky enough to have a porcelain bathtub, your cleaning process will be even faster because of their smooth surface and will wipe clean no matter how dirty they are. Fiberglass tubs easily get grooves and have textured surfaces that are grime's best friend.
So when you are done prespraying everything head back over to your bathtub. Get yourself some rags and turn on the bathtub with hot water, as hot as you can tolerate it. Soak your rags and start wiping away the filth, rinsing your rags as needed. Turn on the shower head and spray down the tub with the hot water to rinse all the leavings down the drain. Don't forget to touch up the outside of the bathtub too. This is a spot that tends to get over looked but gets just as dirty as the rest of your bathroom.
Once the hard part is done, work your way across the rest of the bathroom. You may want to save the toilet for last since it can have a lot of build up on its surfaces and the surrounding floor. Finish up the job with cleaning your mirror with Windex and a fresh clean rag and mop your way out of the bathroom. Use this process at least once a week and who knows, you may even beat my time!
